Wedding Venues..Wedding Venues...

So it's been a few days since I've posted only because I've essentially started the venue search over (in my head.)  Here are the places that I've decided that I will look further into (ie - actually visit):

Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton

Rosewood Restaurant in Rosemont

Quadrangle Club Chicago

Joffrey Tower Chicago

I have a feeling we'll end up staying out of the city but ya never know.

YES! I have a follower!

My one and only follower...my mom, and only because I yelled at her for not following me since I followed her first, confusing right?

Anyways, Tony and I will be looking at Rosewood Restaurant near O'hare airport, the prices are more reasonable (for Chicago) and they've been incredibly friendly and responsive.  They also have amazing reviews!    Yes it is a restaurant, but they have a large banquet hall attached that can hold up to 300 people for dinner, take a look at their site! www.rosewoodrestaurant.com/ picture of their facility below, pretty right!

Sigh :(

Mid-America has a $25,000 Saturday minimum not including tax or service charge.  With such a small wedding we either have to invite everyone we know, or move on.  Moving on... :) It is a beautiful venue, maybe I'll come back to it once we complete our final wedding invite list, never know.

THIS is where I want our wedding!

This is where I want our wedding...at least for today - THE MID AMERICA CLUB (see link below).  It's on the 80th floor COME ON, this would be amazing!  I emailed them last night for more information - Germania Places minimum is $20,000 based on the caterers website, that would be all well and fine but our wedding is only going to be 100 - 150-ish people.  I don't want to be FORCED to spend $200 per person if we only end up having 100.

Uncle Julios can I borrow your Swirl machine? I promise I'll return it.

Uncle Julio (he's not my uncle) I know you don't give out your Swirl recipe, so can I at least borrow your machine?  You know the cool looking Slurpee machine, that I totally <3, I'll need the Sangria one and the Margarita one, Julio.  Please and Thank You.  I know it's only Monday and based on my computer clock only 10:30 AM, but I'm really thirsty, and the two guys below look awfully tasty (just saying.)

PS - If you're reading this, I've visited enough for you to know my home address (I should be on the VIP list) so please send to my attention ASAP.  Good day!

Germania Place

I had a dream about Germania Place last night, that could be a sign, or it could also just be the last site I visited online last night and the last thing I talked to Tony about.  It's such a gorgeous place though, I can't wait to visit it in person - which means I'll probably have to call or email them eventually, I guess.

Wow...it's winter now I guess?

Ughhhhh took the girls to school this morning and good grief is it cold and windy out!  A balmy 15 degrees, LOL.  Samson (English Bulldog) didn't even want to go out this morning, I had to push him out the door.

I told MonRaye that the ring on my finger was an marriage proposal from Tony, Ginevra already knew.  MonRaye is super excited, mainly because she gets a dress, and when we do get married she'll be 9 YEARS OLD IN 4TH GRADE NEARLY (her words.)  She asked a ton of questions - where did he ask you, what did he say, what were you wearing (she's one of THOSE girls...I have no clue what I was wearing), what did you say back, etc.  Oh, I must add that she did say "you know what, you should text your name and Tony's name to that number and it will tell you if you're meant to be together" I stopped her there, and was like did you see this on a commercial?  Ok, I'm guessing those commercials were created for the 7-10 year old audience because she was dead serious and I thought there was no way ANYONE would ever fall for that (I will be safeguarding my cell phone going forward though LOL.)  For those of you wondering I DO recall what he said - "you're the only person that I've ever met that I'm attracted to on so many levels, I love you more every day that I'm with you, I love you more than yesterday...and since I've come to the conclusion that you're not going to propose to me (when anyone ever asked when are you guys FINALLY going to get married, his response "well she hasn't proposed yet") will you marry me" .... awwwww and yes he was on one knee, and I said "of course". :)

So now I have this fabulous ring on my finger that I can't stop staring at!
